AI Act, Greek version: the first part of Article 74(8) refers to Annex III without limiting it to point 1

The other 23 versions say listed in point 1 of Annex III. The limits to high-risk systems and to the stated purposes (law enforcement, border management, justice and democracy) remain. The second part (points 6, 7 and 8) is the same in all versions.

Consequence

Read alone, the Greek text extends the designation rule of Article 74(8) (data protection authorities or other authorities under the same conditions) to more Annex III systems used for those purposes than point 1 (biometrics).

Proposed correction

Add point 1 to the opening reference to Annex III in Greek Article 74(8).

Οι άλλες 23 γλωσσικές αποδόσεις αναφέρουν συστήματα που απαριθμούνται στο σημείο 1 του παραρτήματος III. Οι περιορισμοί στα συστήματα υψηλού κινδύνου και στους αναφερόμενους σκοπούς (επιβολή του νόμου, διαχείριση των συνόρων, δικαιοσύνη και δημοκρατία) παραμένουν. Το δεύτερο σκέλος (σημεία 6, 7 και 8) είναι ίδιο σε όλες τις αποδόσεις.

Consequence

Αν διαβαστεί μόνο του, το ελληνικό κείμενο επεκτείνει τον κανόνα ορισμού του άρθρου 74 παράγραφος 8 (αρχές προστασίας δεδομένων ή άλλες αρχές υπό τους ίδιους όρους) σε περισσότερα συστήματα του παραρτήματος III που χρησιμοποιούνται για τους σκοπούς αυτούς από όσα καλύπτει το σημείο 1 (βιομετρικά στοιχεία).

Proposed correction

Προσθήκη του σημείου 1 στην αρχική παραπομπή στο παράρτημα III στο άρθρο 74 παράγραφος 8 της ελληνικής απόδοσης.
