IAC Rules 3.2 calculate periods in "Alma-Ata Time (UTC+6)" by default; Kazakhstan has used UTC+5 since 1 March 2024

Article 3.2: "Unless the Registrar or Tribunal provide otherwise, or unless the parties agree otherwise", "any period of time is to be calculated in accordance with Alma-Ata Time (UTC+6)". Since 1 March 2024 the whole of Kazakhstan uses UTC+5 (Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 20 of 19 January 2024). Alma-Ata local time and UTC+6 now differ by one hour, so the default end of a day differs too (midnight local time is 01:00 UTC+6). The Registrar may extend time limits (Article 3.8), which reduces the practical effect.

Proposed correction

Please choose one time base in Article 3.2 - local time (for example "Astana time") or a fixed offset - and remove the other label.
